I was provided product from JORD wooden watches for an honest review. I received no other compensation and all opinions expressed in this post are solely my own.
For my entire life, I have never been a “bracelet girl.” I have an active lifestyle — from yoga to marathons — so most accessories and watches are simply too bulky or intrusive. I have purchased a few watches in the past to entertain the oversized watch trend, but ended up tossing them aside.
A few weeks ago when I was contacted by JORD, I was honestly hesitant and almost turned down the opportunity because of not being able to find a watch that I could sport in and out of practice. I looked around the site, did a little measuring and finally decided that I could give it a shot with one of their women’s watches.
I ended up going with the JORD Frankie 35 Series in Dark Sandalwood & Mint and received it a few days after the order was placed. It arrived in a little wooden box with informational cards and extra links. The packaging was exquisite and refined. I couldn’t wait to try it on, but I wish that the box had come with a little more instruction. For example, how to properly clean the wooden finish or how to remove or add links if needed. I had to visit the website for more information relating to its care. While navigating the website wasn’t difficult, it would have been a nice touch to have all of that information readily available in the box with the watch.
JORD has the option of customizing your watch to fit your wrist size prior to being sent, which is what I did. But even after following the directions on the website, I found the the watch was still too big. In order to get the watch sized properly I took it to a local jeweler and had two of the links removed and then it fit perfectly. It felt a little odd to have a watch on my wrist at first, but I quickly got used to it and really loved the look, wear and finish.
